21/04/2010 – London Town
The next route we undertook was to London. We needed some team photos and we chose London as our backdrop. This was our first route where we left our timer running when we stopped to look up direction or have a break. This was with the intention of giving us a better view as to how much time we took. We cycled into Fenchurch Street, George on his new road bike, and got a few photos. Steve then went home to do some work whilst the rest of us progressed on, Fulham being our target. We got down to Sloane Square before George's pedal fell off which slightly stopped us in that George couldn't pedal. We then got the district line back home. The phone slightly played up and the route has been slightly changed as you can see so we have had to gauge the time off of the average kilometres and our time wasn't too bad considering it was our first attempt at this route.
03/05/2010 – Country Park loop x2
The route only involved Jamie, George and Dan meaning that it was only road bikes present in this route. The change in pace was drastic and our average speed shot up to 22kmph. Needles to say that everyone was chuffed with the results of the route and the pace shown. It has slashed all previous times and records apart from our speed record which still stands at around 47kmph on the Cold Norton loop though we did manage to achieve 45kmph on multiple occasions here on what were relatively flat sections of road.
